CARBOXYTHERAPY
What is carboxytherapy?
Carboxytherapy is a non invasive procedure. It refers to administration of carbon dioxide gas [CO2] below the skin into the cutaneous and subcutaneous region using a needle for therapeutic purposes thereby improving skin elasticity, reducing cellulite and fat cells and stimulates the collagen production.
How does it work?
Carbon Dioxide also happens to be the signal for poor blood circulation in the body. When the blood cells are exposed to high concentrations of carbon dioxide, they stimulate the release of oxygen molecules at that site. In a sense, by injecting small amounts of carbon dioxide gas just below the surface of the skin, we are tricking it into increasing the blood circulation to that area. Dark under-eye circles, cellulite, and stretch marks have all been shown to have some root cause in poor blood circulation.
The following are the conditions in which carboxytherapy has been proven to give outstanding results:
- Dark undereye circles
- Stretch mark redcution
- Cellulite and fat cells reduction
- Fine lines and wrinkles
For Dark under-eye circles:
Carboxytherapy can dramatically improve the appearance of dark under-eye circles. The majority of dark under-eye circles are caused by poor circulation beneath the lower eyelids [vascular pooling]. By injecting a small amount of carbon dioxide gas just beneath the skin of the lower eyelid, circulation was increased and dark under-eye circles were markedly improved. The treatment takes only five minutes, and is virtually painless and risk-free.
For Stretch mark:
Striae are usually found on the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and breasts. Striae are seen in 90% of pregnant women due to a combination of hormonal factors along with increased stress on the collagen and elastin in the skin Although striae are thought to be a result of collagen rupture and breakdown during stretching of the skin. Furthermore, laser and light modalities are not safe for individuals with darker skin tones.
Carboxytherapy is the only treatment available for both old and new stretchmarks that visibly repairs the broken collagen and is safe for all skin types. Carboxytherapy causes the formation of new collagen and subsequently thickens the skin to improve the appearance of the stretch marks by rebuilding the collagen matrix.
For Cellulite and fat calls reduction:
Cellulite refers to the lumpy fat bulges. In Carboxytherapy, fat cells were ruptured by the CO2 gas while leaving the remaining skin structures and nerves unharmed.
It’s a painless procedure with barely any side effects.
